Sprouts Coming To Loveland

March 30, 2016

The market for healthy and natural grocery stores is ever increasing, and soon Loveland will have a new addition in that category. Sprouts Farmers Market will be opening a brand new location on the northeast corner of Eisenhower Boulevard and N. Lincoln Avenue (Highway 34 and 287).

There is a serious trend in natural and healthy grocery stores with more and more people looking for organic produce and healthier foods. Natural foods chains are in high demand with greater amounts of people looking to replace processed foods full of artificial ingredients and preservatives for organic fruits and vegetables, organic meats, and free-range chicken. Sprouts Farmers Market is a chain of specialty grocery stores focusing on healthy living that is both easy and affordable. Nationally, Sprouts has been regarded as a challenger to the more expensive, but popular Whole Foods.

In addition to providing healthy foods and fresh produce and Sprouts in Loveland will also offer a full-service deli, meat and seafood counters, barrels of grains and nuts, ready-to-eat meals, gourmet cheeses, and fresh baked goods. Sprouts will also offer a variety of local foods to support the communities and states of each location. For those with dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free and Vegan-friendly options, Sprouts offers a viable option for food and consumables.

Construction of Sprouts in Loveland is well underway. Evergreen Development Company, the company building the store for Sprouts, purchased all seven buildings on the property, including three commercial buildings and four homes, in order to secure a prime location for what is sure to be a profitable and popular addition. Two of the businesses, Book Haven and Cricket Wireless, have relocated but are still in Loveland. Art Sorensen, the owner of the third business that was Art’s Audio and Video Service, had already decided to retire when Evergreen came looking to buy his building. The new grocery store will be an approximately 26,000-square-foot building that will attract plenty of customers at its central Loveland location.

Currently, Loveland is home to only one natural foods market, The Crunchy Grocer, which is independent and locally owned. The introduction of a bigger, national chain is sure to bring competition to The Crunchy Grocer, but it’s something the owners anticipated and are prepared for. Sprouts aims to attract a slightly different market by offering a combination of organic and conventional products.
