Fall brings some of the best events and festivals in Ft. Collins. Starting with Campfire at the Cabin on September 16, and FORTober Fest on September 17, the season is filled with events and adventures sure to thrill without stretching your wallet. Here are our top 10 picks for things to do in Ft. Collins this fall.

  1. Campfire at the Cabin, The Full Moon in Fall – September 16, 7 P.M., Coyote Ridge Natural Area: Come learn about the seasons and environment, as you hike around this nature conservancy. The hike is 30-40 minutes, and don’t forget to bring your flashlight!
  2. FORTober Fest – September 17, 11 A.M. to 10 P.M. in Old Town Square, Downtown: Kick up your heels, have some serious eats, and a full day of live music during Ft. Collins’ last outdoor music festival in 2016. his event is free to attend, food and beverage vendors on site.
  3. 21st Annual Doggie Olympics – September 25, 9 A. M., Ft. Collins Cit Park Pavilion #7: Enjoy the last Sunday in September by attending the doggie Olympics at City Park, or bring your dog to compete. Free to attend. There is a small fee to register your dog.
  4. Sunday Music Series – Every Sunday, 4 P.M. to 6 P.M., Pateros Creek Brewing Company: bring your friends to sample some local live music, local beer, and the food trucks outside.
  5. MOMIX: Opus Cactus – October 1, 7:30 P.M., The Lincoln Center: Watch as performers take you on a dynamic journey through the desert, where cactuses, snakes, and lizards dance to life on the stage.
  6. 14th Annual Fall Festival and Corn Maze – October 1 through October 30, Wellington: Get lost in the corn maze, tour the farm on a hay wagon, and take in the pig races on Harvest Farm this fall.
  7. First Friday Gallery Walk – October 7, November 4, December 2, Downtown: Grab your pals and gaze into the galleries and take in the stunning artwork and culture, as you walk around Downtown Ft. Collins. Free to attend.
  8. The Capitol Steps: What to Expect When You’re Electing – October 9, 7:30 P.M., The Lincoln Center: Enjoy the satire of Senate life, and join former Senate staffers as they introduce us to the people and places they’ve lived and worked.
  9. Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony – November 4, 5 P.M. to 10 P.M., Downtown: Gather in historic Old Town as we celebrate lighting the energy-efficient holiday LEDs! It’s the must-be place to kick off the winter holiday season.
  10. 2nd Annual Brewery Lights – November 17 through December 30: Tree maze, fire pit, smores, and more at the Anheuser-Busch Biergarten. The lights are in view every night, but sampling and adventures are Thursdays – Sundays.
