This beautiful lake provides gorgeous views of the mountains and is a gathering place for the tight-knit community. There is a paved 2-plus mile path around the lake that is regularly full of bikers, runners, and walkers. There is also a well-maintained beach section with water vehicle rentals, like canoes, kayaks, and paddleboats, a playground, and a dog park. Throughout the summer, there are community events on the lakeshore, such as live music on Thursday nights.
If you’re craving delicious ice cream, there’s no better place than Cozy Cow Dairy. Stop by the store to watch employees make fresh milk, cheese, and ice cream before your eyes. The dairy is so fresh that on some days, visitors can even meet the cows and watch them get milked. Locals love the tasty ice cream, and the dairy prides itself on being the only place along the Front Range that sells fresh cheese curds.
No Worries!! Ballooning provides some of the best views of Colorado’s stunning mountains and prairies from on board a hot air balloon. Few people get to see the splendor of the area from such a majestic view. You can reserve a romantic balloon ride for two, go on a group ride, or even book the whimsical dragon-shaped balloon “Norman” for a private event.
