Shields Street, also running north and south, is west of College Avenue and also provides access to the university. While Shields can also experience traffic, it tends to be lighter than the traffic found on College. Figuring out the best routes comes with time, but it can also come from trial and error. Figure out alternative routes and try a different one until you find the one that works best with your schedule.
