Fire and Ice Festival 2016 in Loveland

February 10, 2016

It’s the best of both worlds when fire and ice come together for the largest Valentine’s Day celebration in the United States. There’s no better place for the festival than Loveland, Colorado, the city of love, which hosts the Fire and Ice Festival from February 12th-14th, 2016.

In 2015, more than 24,000 people took part in the festival, which is a unique mixture of street art, performances, and seasonal fun. Downtown Loveland transforms into a winter and Valentine’s wonderland with lights, ice, and fire lining the streets. The highlight of the festival is the magnificent ice sculptures that dot the downtown area. Northern Colorado and Loveland are known for their great artist communities, which are in full force as the best snow and ice sculptors showcase their talents to large crowds. The results are amazing pieces made of solid blocks of ice that are constructed throughout the weekend for photo opportunities and short-lived beauty.
