- Benson Park Sculpture Garden. With nearly 150 sculptures spread across 10 stunning acres, Benson Park Sculpture Garden is a beautiful place, perfect for walking, relaxing, and enjoying one of the top public art installations in the region. With manicured lawns and colorful gardens, Benson Park Sculpture Garden is an oasis in the city. Every August, the Sculpture in the Park show brings the community together to celebrate the art with added displays for a total of more than 2,000 pieces from artists around the world.
- Devil’s Backbone Nature Trail. Located just west of downtown Loveland, Devil’s Backbone features miles of trails on more than 2,000 acres in the shadows of the Front Range. It is a popular place for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding and provides trails for every skill level. The most popular trail is to the Keyhole, which provides stunning panoramic views of the area under a stone arch. Other trails also provide a great view of the backbone itself, a unique rock formation jutting from the earth.
- Colorado Cherry Company. Nestled along the Big Thompson River 12 miles outside of Loveland, Colorado Cherry Company is a favorite of locals and tourists and is definitely a cherry lover’s dream. This forth-generation family-owned business makes the best cherry products in the state. Sample all of the products, including cherry ciders and juices, jams, syrups, butters, relishes, and more. And don’t forget to get a slice of the famous cherry pie. This home-style store and restaurant is sure to leave you coming back for more.
- Boyd Lake State Park. Even in a land-locked state, people still like going to the beach. Boyd Lake State Park provides a large sand beach into the pristine lake, as well as picnic areas, trails, boating, and a campground. On a warm summer day, there’s no better place to be in Northern Colorado. All sorts of watercraft are allowed on the lake, so try your hand at canoeing, wake boarding, or fishing surrounded by beautiful scenery.
- Loveland Museum/Gallery. Designed to celebrate the community and everything it represents, the Loveland Museum/Gallery boasts a series of unique historical and arts displays. It’s the only place in Northern Colorado you can go from seeing an early settler’s cabin in one room to a modern art display in the next. The Museum/Gallery also offers art classes ranging from toddlers to adults, as well as community events throughout the year, including a monthly open house and holiday specials.
